Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Pakt, operated by Joel Jaison ("Pakt", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. What Pakt is

Pakt is a group-planning tool where each member has a personal AI agent that negotiates with the other members' agents to converge on a plan (a movie, a meal, or both), based on everyone's stated preferences and real venues found near the group.

2. Eligibility & your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Pakt.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
• Provide accurate information — preferences and location data directly affect the quality of the plans your agent proposes.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Pakt for anything unlawful, harassing, or abusive towards other users.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or abuse the negotiation system, payment flow, or any API.
• Use Pakt to spam, scrape at scale, or resell access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. AI-generated suggestions aren't guarantees

Plans, venues, and details your agents propose are AI-generated based on real-time search and the information available to it. Venue names, addresses, ratings, showtimes, and prices can be wrong, outdated, or (rarely, if a live search isn't available) a placeholder clearly marked as unconfirmed. Always verify details like opening hours, bookings, and prices directly with the venue before you go. Pakt is not responsible for losses arising from relying on an AI-suggested plan without verifying it.

5. Pro plan & payments

Pakt offers a free tier with a daily limit on new Pakts, and a Pro pass that removes that limit for 30 days for a one-time payment, processed securely by Razorpay. The Pro pass does not auto-renew — it simply expires after 30 days unless you buy another one. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for payment terms.

6. Intellectual property

Pakt and its branding belong to us. The preferences, messages, and content you create belong to you — by using Pakt you grant us the limited right to process and store that content to provide the service described above.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Pakt is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pakt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including from an AI-suggested plan that turns out to be inaccurate.

8. Termination

You may stop using Pakt at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Outstanding Pro pass time is not refunded on termination for cause.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

10. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
